HEXXI DECK vs. HEXXI DECOR: What’s the Difference?
If you’re new to HEXXI, one of the first questions you may have is:
What’s the difference between a HEXXI DECK and a HEXXI DECOR?
Both are part of the same modular HEXXI display system. Both use the same hexagonal design. Both can connect with other HEXXI units.
The big difference is simple:
HEXXI DECK includes a display platform.
HEXXI DECOR does not.
That small difference gives each one a very different role in your display.
What Is a HEXXI DECK?
The HEXXI DECK is designed for displaying figures, collectibles, and other items that need a place to stand.
A platform extends from the lower portion of the HEXXI frame, creating a small display shelf inside the hexagonal design.
That means your collectible isn’t just sitting on a plain shelf.
The backplate behind it helps create a complete scene.
A horror figure can stand in front of a creepy background.
A sports collectible can be paired with a stadium-inspired design.
A character can be placed inside a portal, cloudy sky, winter scene, laboratory, cityscape, or countless other environments.
The DECK turns the hexagon into a miniature display space.
HEXXI DECK Accessories
The HEXXI DECK is also designed to work with interchangeable HEXXI attachments.
Depending on the setup, you can add accessories such as decorative plates, fences, and other components to change the look of the platform.
That means you can keep the same HEXXI DECK and change its appearance as your collection or theme changes.
Change an attachment.
Move the figure.
Create something new.
What Is a HEXXI DECOR?
The HEXXI DECOR uses the same hexagonal frame concept without the display platform.
Instead of holding a standing figure, DECOR is designed to become part of the visual side of the HEXXI system.
It can feature artwork, themed backgrounds, logos, patterns, decorative designs, or other visual elements.
HEXXI DECOR can be used by itself, but it really becomes interesting when you begin combining it with HEXXI DECKS.
A DECK can hold the collectible.
A DECOR can help build the world around it.
DECK and DECOR Work Together
You don’t have to choose one system or the other.
HEXXI DECK and HEXXI DECOR are designed to be mixed together.
For example, you could build a wall with a DECK in the center holding your favorite figure, then surround it with DECOR pieces that continue the theme.
You could create a larger sports display.
A horror wall.
A movie-inspired scene.
A holiday setup.
Or something completely your own.
Because HEXXI is modular, you can keep adding to the arrangement over time.
Your display doesn’t have to be finished the day you build it.
Which One Should You Choose?
If you want to display a figure or collectible that needs a platform, start with a:
HEXXI DECK
If you want artwork, visual decoration, or another hexagon to expand your wall without a platform, choose:
HEXXI DECOR
If you want to build a larger themed display?
Use both.
That’s where the HEXXI system really starts to open up.
A Simple Example
Imagine you have three favorite collectibles you want to display.
You could use three HEXXI DECKS, giving each collectible its own platform.
Now add HEXXI DECOR pieces around them.
Those DECOR pieces could continue the artwork, introduce logos or themed designs, or simply help create a larger honeycomb arrangement.
Later, you could add another DECK.
Move one of the DECOR pieces.
Change the backplates.
Add accessories.
The display can continue growing without starting over.
Build the Display Around Your Collection
Traditional shelves usually decide where everything goes.
HEXXI takes a different approach.
You decide how large the display becomes.
You decide which pieces get DECKS.
You decide where DECOR belongs.
You decide the theme.
And when you want something different, you can change it.
That’s the point of the system.
Build your display. Your way.
